GENERAL QUESTIONS
Q: Where is GSW?
A: Georgia Southwestern State University is located in beautiful, historic Americus, Georgia. Also, GSW currently offers classes in Tifton through Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, Bainbridge through Bainbridge College and Cochran through Middle Georgia College.
Q: How do I get into the program?
A: Apply to GSW and let them know that you are interested in the MGC Collaborative Program.
A: Click here to apply to GSW. If you have not completed an Associate's degree, you will also apply to MGC.
Q: Do I apply to GSW as a transfer or transient student?
A: If you are currently completing an Associate's degree with another institution and would like to take classes with GSW before graduation, you should apply as a transient student and complete a Permission for Transient Status form with your home institution. If you have completed a degree, you should apply to GSW as a transfer student.
Q: Will I have all of my classes on the MGC/Cochran campus?
A: Courses within the BBA program from GSW will be offered online.
Q: Do I have to have an Associate’s degree?
A: None of the programs require that you have a degree completed; however, all have CORE classes that are required in order to begin. CORE classes that have not been completed may be completed with MGC locally, on-line or with another college/university by commuting.
