ENGL 4130 British Drama to 1642

Course Description
This course concentrates upon British
vernacular drama from its emergence during the medieval period until the closing
of the theaters by the Parliamentarians (Roundheads) in 1642, exclusive of
Shakespeare. The course uses structuralist, new historicist, and performance
methodology.
