Amupllina(?) sp.

Phylum Mollusca
Class Gastropoda

(Scale bar is 1 cm.)

Snail fossils in the limestones of southwest Georgia are usually preserved as molds or casts because the original shell material is aragonite. However, in some parts of the Bridgeboro Limestone, mollusc fossils have been replaced by chert, and are nicely preserved. The species at right probably belongs in the genus Ampullina.
